In celebration of our university's foundation day, the Library shall be offering another service to our dear PLVians. Let us start having games in the Library! Why gaming at the Library? According to the American Library Association (ALA), board games, card games, and video games are, in essence, information, and at the same time, human acts of telling stories , presented in new formats that involve the player. Games may fulfill a library's mission to provide cultural, recreational, and entertaining materials; to provide academic curriculum support; or to provide resources and support their industry or profession (see website here ). Available tabletop games in the Library Thus, we are inviting PLVians to check out the game kits above. We are starting from the very basics of chess, crossword game, breakthrough, and word masters. We are also hoping to expand the available games in the future. PLVians may start enjoying the tabletop games this coming Monday, July 20,
