Sharing the Happiness with PLVians: Book Tree Wishes

The PLV Library would like to extend its warmest appreciation to all students who visit and frequent the Library every month. As a way of saying "Thanks!", here are some lucky PLVians who received  a simple yet heartfelt gift from the Library. They got the chance to shop for school supplies at the Pandayan Book Shop located at the ground floor of the Student Center. We hope that you continue studying well and that the Library be a dynamic part of your daily school life. Again, thank you and hope to see you at the Library!

READING ICON FOR JANUARY: Ms. Nancy Hira Lim, Instructor from the English Department

Our Reading Icon for January 2018 is Ms. Nancy Hira Lim, a long time instructor from the English Department of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela. She teaches Literature Research, World Literature, Philippine Literature, and Developmental Reading, just to name a few. One of her students mentioned that, "Miss Nancy prefers dealing with the classics. She is into books that never go out of style and she does not just settle on the literal level when reading or discussing. She probes in deeper, reading between the lines, and ponders about questions that could never be answered without reasonable wit. The cl assics never get old because it always reflects the society. Miss Nancy takes this as an advantage to relate the stories to her students in the class and makes it as a springboard for an exchange of ideas during discussions."
