Online Resource Available at the PLV Library: King Solomon Discovery Platform

  King Solomon Discovery is an online discovery platform which allows users to perform article researching and filtering of around 3 million curated content. The PLV community may now access the resources in the KSDiscovery platform. More details on the registration can be seen in your Canvas account. #WeekendWorkshop: Bringing the Share It Saturday Workshops Online

Workshop Weekend with the PLV Library is an initiative of the Library Department for interested PLVians. It aims to bring stress relief and productivity to the whole PLV community during the community quarantine period. All PLV students, faculty members, and administrative personnel are welcome to participate as attendees and/or facilitators. Alumni? Yes, we would love to have you over too! Our first  # WorkshopWeekend  facilitator is a long time mobile phone photography enthusiast who took part in the ASUS PixelMaster Master Class campaign, learning more about the action-filled world of street photography. PLV Library's Reading Icon for January - February 2020 RICHARD SORIANO LEGASPI Art Academician / Advocacy Filmmaker / Artiste Multidisciplinaire Gawad Dr. Pio Valenzuela Awardee for 2019 (Film) He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of the East, major in Advertising Arts. He studied filmmaking at the Asian Film Academy in Busan, South Korea in 2007. His artistic practice is more focused on raising consciousness and creating space for dialogue on communal issues, the responsible transformation of society, and creative activation through contemporary art. Legaspi’s achievements gained more importance when he represented the Philippines in major festivals and won the Miglior Montaggio award in San Gio, Italy. His films were officially selected in more than 150 International Film Festivals. Reading Icon for October - November 2019: Atty. Arnel Jose S. Bañas of Barangay Marulas, Valenzuela City

Welcome our Reading Icon for the months of October and November 2019 - Atty. Arnel Jose S. Ba ñas. Atty. Arnel, who hails from Barangay Marulas, was awarded the Gawad Pio Valenzuela for Excellence in Government Service in 2009. Atty. Arnel Jose S. Ba ñas is the Deputy Secretary for Administration and Finance of the Senate of the Philippines since 1998. Because of his outstanding contribution to public governance,  he became the recipient of the Gawad Pio Valenzuela Award for Excellence in Government Service in 2009. Atty. Ba ñas is the president of the Hubert H. Humphrey Alumni Philippines since 2015 and is on his third consecutive term. He had his Humphrey Fellowship (Human Resource Management) at the University of Washington in 2007-2008. Moreover, he is also a past President of Kythe Foundation, Inc. a non-profit, non-stock organization aimed towards improving the quality of life among children with cancer and other chronic illnesses.
