Happenings in the PLV Library this Summer of 2015

We posted a question to the library personnel and student assistants of the PLV Library: "Anong meron sa Library kapag summer?". Here are their answers.

"We do inventory, covering books (new and old), encode title of books that will be used as reference for literature-related subjects. We also did general cleaning for the upcoming school year." - Ma'am Jane, Library Staff
"I'm the one in-charge with the furniture and equipment tagging as well as the task of updating the KOHA OPAC Database.  I also did the covering of old and new books together with other library staff and student assistants. Currently, I'm working on the first ever PLV Library song entitled, Come to the Library."- Sir Dennis, Library Staff
"Dapat ang summer para sa 'yo ay memorable, once a year lang kasi magkaroon ng long summer so better enjoy it.  I chose to spend my summer in our beloved library. Each one of us has tasks. I love the PLV Library."- Earra, Library Student Assistant

I'm so blessed to be a part of the PLV Library." -Welly, Library Student Assistant

"Plenty! It's an opportune time for me to do an inventory of the library resources, update the library blogsite, do newspaper clipping pastings and prepare Library IDs for new students, plus the continuing releases of yearbooks and approvals of clearances. All these I do with the help of the rest of my library pals. Wheew, what a summer, right?" - Ma'am Mary Ann, Library Staff
"The Library is a  very dynamic department all throughout the year. Each of the personnel has their own set of tasks which they fulfill. As the college librarian, I oversee the people here, manage the acquisition, catalog resources, prepare reports and paperworks, set activities, fix schedules and more. We are a small team with a big heart for service. Thus, we do hope that all our preparations will eventually lead to a better Library Department serving PLVians this coming academic year."- Ma'am Rochelle, College Librarian
And now, we ask you: Are you ready for school this June? See you at the Library then!
